Not sure if this is allowed, if it's not sorry!! and you can delete it and I won't have my feelings hurt.

A friend of mine has started a project to put together a get well/feel better/best wishes book for Stuart Holden. He's coming home due to his injury keeping him out for another 6 months. Because of where we live and the intimate nature of the Houston Dynamo, she'll have absolutely no problem getting the book to Stuart. She's taking submissions and she wants to make it as awesome as possible because he's pretty bummed.

Anyways here is her original post about the project. )

I am very displeased to inform you, if you haven't heard already, that Stuart Holden will be out for at least another six months after undergoing a follow-up procedure for his injury.

So, some country called Argentina had their national football team play some team known as the USMNT last night at the New Meadowlands Stadium to a sold out crowd and I happened to be in attendance.

Half of these photos are mine/my friends, the other half are media outlets; you'll be able to tell which is which, but sources are at the end.

Sepp Blatter will make way for a successor as FIFA president in four years' time if he is re-elected in June, he has announced.

Blatter is seeking a fourth term as FIFA president and is being challenged by Asian confederation chief Mohamed Bin Hammam.

The 75-year-old told UEFA's Congress in Paris on Tuesday that if he wins he will definitely stand down in 2015, saying: "You know very well that I am a candidate for the next four years as FIFA president but these will be the last four years for which I stand as a candidate."
He added: "Together we have the task of bringing together the adventure we have started.
"We want to ensure a better future for our youth."

The new president will be elected at a Fifa Congress which starts on 31 May.

With Bin Hammam vowing to increase Fifa's decision-making power and spread its considerable wealth, Blatter is facing his first challenge since Issa Hayatou took him on - and lost - in 2002.

Bin Hammam is also currently attending the Congress for European football's governing body, Uefa, as they lobby federation presidents for their vote on 1 June in Zurich.
Uefa members make up more than one quarter of the maximum 208 Fifa voters that Blatter and Bin Hammam will attempt to woo.
The winner needs a two-thirds majority of valid votes cast in the first ballot, or a majority in the second.

Fifa has set an 1 April deadline for other candidates to be nominated by a single member federation.
"We are in extra time," said Blatter, referring to the time left before the election. "Let's wait and see what the outcome will be."

Bolton Wanderers midfielder Stuart Holden has been ruled out for six months as a result of the injury he sustained in a challenge on Saturday.

Holden was rushed to hospital following a 1-0 defeat to Manchester United as a tackle from Jonny Evans, which drew a red card, left him with a nasty gash on his right knee.

So sad he's missing the Gold Cup with USA this summer. I feel like he always gets injured right before he gets to play with the NT. He also posted on his Twitter that he's having surgery in London today. Good luck, Stu!

Landon Donovan, Your Teammates Say You Can’t Dance & They Should Be On Dancing!
Image and video hosting by TinyPic
HollywoodLife.com reported that Landon is in talks to appear on Dancing with the Stars next season – but the soccer stud’s playmates have other ideas!

How’s this for team spirit? Although we told you that our World Cup hero, Landon Donovan, was in discussions to appear on the 11th season of Dancing with the Stars, his teammates say that he can’t dance – and that they should take his place!

“We are all better dancers than Landon!” midfielder Benny Feilhaber told HollywoodLife.com at the post-ESPY’s party at Drai’s in Los Angeles July 14, adding, “We got the moves,” while teammate Carlos Bocanegra agreed.

Fellow midfielder Stuart Holden thinks he and his teammates’ moves are SO good that they might score a spot on Dancing, too – before Landon even gets his chance. “We all should be on DWTS before Landon ever is,” he declared.

Sure, every single USA soccer stud showed off some pretty fancy footwork during the World Cup, but do they have the chops to trade in their cleats for dance shoes on network TV? Or should stop-goal king Landon, 28, represent American soccer players alone on the small screen?

If you didn't watch the ESPY's last night, LET YOUTUBE FILL YOU IN!

First: the USMNT win the award for Best Sports Moment of the Year

And then... Paul the Octopus makes an appearance:

OH YES THEY DID.

Ah! I love these boys so much! I was absolutely THRILLED that they won the award, and it was so fantastic to see them all up there, to see the replay, and to see how much support they got from the rest of the people there!

Also, the boys' various Twitter accounts were alive and well last night...

Cut for pics from Stu's account, including a hair-off between Holden and Zeffron! )
