The tiny stars of Margatania FC are not giants on the pitch nor off. They’re an under-7 squad who will freely admit that goals aren’t their thing. But you don’t see any of the tantrums or soccer spats that mar the professional game in these true sportsmen. They may be young, their only goal of the year may have come in their last game of the season, but they truly love the game. The ‘Little Team’ featured in this short film remind us of all that is truly great in sport: teamwork, positive attitude, and respect.

The little ones ended their season with a 1-271 goal record (their lone goal came in their very last league game, scored by Emma!) but they say they don't care about winning or losing--the important thing is that they're having fun. Besides, as one of the kids puts it, they'll have plenty of time to score goals when they're bigger!

Sepp Blatter will make way for a successor as FIFA president in four years' time if he is re-elected in June, he has announced.

Blatter is seeking a fourth term as FIFA president and is being challenged by Asian confederation chief Mohamed Bin Hammam.

The 75-year-old told UEFA's Congress in Paris on Tuesday that if he wins he will definitely stand down in 2015, saying: "You know very well that I am a candidate for the next four years as FIFA president but these will be the last four years for which I stand as a candidate."
He added: "Together we have the task of bringing together the adventure we have started.
"We want to ensure a better future for our youth."

The new president will be elected at a Fifa Congress which starts on 31 May.

With Bin Hammam vowing to increase Fifa's decision-making power and spread its considerable wealth, Blatter is facing his first challenge since Issa Hayatou took him on - and lost - in 2002.

Bin Hammam is also currently attending the Congress for European football's governing body, Uefa, as they lobby federation presidents for their vote on 1 June in Zurich.
Uefa members make up more than one quarter of the maximum 208 Fifa voters that Blatter and Bin Hammam will attempt to woo.
The winner needs a two-thirds majority of valid votes cast in the first ballot, or a majority in the second.

Fifa has set an 1 April deadline for other candidates to be nominated by a single member federation.
"We are in extra time," said Blatter, referring to the time left before the election. "Let's wait and see what the outcome will be."

Fernando Torres, padre de una niña

Fernando Torres y Olalla Domínguez, su novia de siempre, han tenido su primer hijo, una niña que ha pesado tres kilos setecientos gramos y ha nacido tras un parto programado en el hospital Policlínico La Rosaleda, en Santiago de Compostela, ciudad natal de la madre.

El parto ha sido atendido por la doctora Carmen Álvarez Álvarez, amiga de la familia de Olaia. Según informa 'El Correo Gallego', la pareja ha contratado seguridad privada para no alterar la tranquilidad de la planta de maternidad.

Ambos llevaban varios días esperando el nacimiento en la más completa intimidad, en la residencia de los suegros del futbolista.

Según publicaron algunos medios, la pareja contrajo matrimonio el miércoles 27 de mayo en el Ayuntamiento de El Escorial (Madrid).

Se conocieron hace diez años en la Costa da Morte (La Coruña), concretamente en Estorde, donde el delantero de Liverpool veraneaba junto a su familia.

Domínguez, de 22 años, actualmente está estudiando Educación Social por la UNED, y reside en Inglaterra junto al futbolista.

La pareja dista bastante de los acostumbrados binomios futbolista-modelo/famosa/presentadora, ya que Olalla es una joven discreta de la que apenas se sabe nada, salvo que es aficionada al patinaje y que es amiga de Yolanda Ruiz, la esposa del portero Pepe Reina, que también reside en Liverpool.
