A few more details about the video's creation can be found here.
( An interview with 'Scott Sterling' with details about how they actually made the video )
And so this post isn't just this video, feel free to spam your favorite goalkeeper saves or just bizarre goalkeeper-related things. Also, all Ochoa WC memes are welcome! I will grudgingly accept Neuer ones if you mention other goalkeepers too. NHF a comment section with 100% Manu. We have all seen how his sweeper-keeper self has somewhat backfired in the wider goalkeeper community. XD Almost a plague! I also dedicate this post to my brother, who was a goalie when he was younger and had a parent from an opposing team encourage his son to kick him after he already was on top of the ball. Rules, what are those?
I'm bored. So you get happy Messi.

Lionel Messi: The greatest goalscorer and player La Liga has ever seen
The Argentine forward now leads the Primera Division's all-time scoring charts after surpassing a mark set in 1955. Spain's top-flight has never seen anything like Leo
(By Ben Hayward | Spanish Football Writer)
When Telmo Zarra passed away at the age of 85 in February 2006, his long-standing Liga goals record appeared unbeatable. Back then, Lionel Messi was in only his second season at Barcelona and had scored just seven times in La Liga. But eight years on, he has eclipsed the brilliant Basque and is now not only the Primera Division's greatest goalscorer, but also the finest footballer to ever grace Spain's top-flight.
Messi surpassed Zarra's magical mark of 251 Liga goals with his hat-trick in the 5-1 win against Sevilla at Camp Nou on Saturday and, at the age of 27, could go on to smash the record over the next few seasons at Barcelona. Even though he has adopted more of a playmaker role this term under Luis Enrique, there are plenty more goals still to come from the four-time Ballon d'Or winner.

Luis Suárez on ‘right path’ after seeing therapist to cure biting problem
• Exclusive: ‘All the bad things are in the past’
• But Uruguayan still refuses to accept being labelled racist
Luis Suárez has claimed that he is on the “right path” to becoming a reformed character having sought help to cure his “impulse” to bite people – but the Barcelona striker remains steadfast in his refusal to accept being labelled a racist over the 2011 incident with Patrice Evra.
Suárez, who is set to make his Barcelona debut against Real Madrid on Saturday night, revealed that he has been seeing a therapist to cure his biting problem in an exclusive interview with the Guardian and admitted that he understood the uproar caused by his bite on Giorgio Chiellini during Uruguay’s 1-0 victory over Italy at the World Cup, which led to him being banned from competitive football for four months.
“I think all the bad things I have been through are in the past,” Suárez said. “I believe I am on the right path now, dealing with the people who can help me, the right kind of people.”
( Suarez interview + book excerpt, Kun's book excerpt about Messi ... )
RME @ Suarez, but I'm sooo here for ''Kunessi''! This probably calls for a picspamn the comments tbh ...

United Or City? Father Auctions Off His Baby Son’s Club Allegiance To Highest Bidder On Ebay http://t.co/mdtvQF789I pic.twitter.com/4WBLCHwDfU
— Who Ate All The Pies (@waatpies) October 23, 2014
Originally hailing from Watford and a Hornets fan by trade, a new father from Manchester has accepted that he will probably be powerless to prevent his baby from growing up supporting one of the city's big two teams and, as such, is now auctioning off his seven-month-old son's club allegiance in the name of charity.
Ian Charters, 30, has posted the rather unusual listing on eBay, which will see the winning bidder allowed to choose which Manchester club, United or City, little Eddie will grow up to follow.
Any money raised will be donated to Bliss, a charity that provides support for premature and ill babies -- a cause close to Ian and his wife Jo's heart.
Eddie was born six weeks early and subsequently struggled with jaundice, weight issues and problems with his digestive system while spending the first few weeks of his young life in Stockport's Stepping Hill Hospital. Writing in the listing details, dad Ian has vowed to buy Eddie a football top and matching curtains in the winning team's colours, take him to as many matches as possible and generally "do the best he can" to make sure the little boy "doesn't end up supporting the other team."
"I live in Greater Manchester, but originally come from down south so I have no affiliation with either of the Manchester clubs," Ian told the Manchester Evening News. "I'll be fighting a losing battle trying to get my son to support my team. Frankly, I wouldn't want to inflict that on the poor child anyway."
Now there's a sentiment most football-obsessed parents can sympathise with.

awwwww lol. this is qt and a little sad, but for a good cause. Also, it seems like the father is going to be taking on the $£€ of taking his kid to premier league games @__@

The craziest manager rants

Football management is not a job for the weak-willed or faint-hearted.
Stack together a few defeats and all of a sudden journalists are asking difficult questions, your own fans are baying for blood and former footballers are making negative comments about your character.
So it's no wonder that even the most experienced have snapped from time to time, and even the most level-headed have lost their temper. The latest to be afflicted was OFI Crete's boss Rino Gattuso who launched an astonishing attack against the press a few days ago.
Below, Goal looks at 10 of the most memorable moments when coaches have let their calm demeanour disappear and gone on an unexpected rant for all the world to see or hear about.
( including the infamous ''que la sigan chupando'', obviously ... )
Which rant is your favourite? I think I'm gonna have to go with Trapattoni's one on this, haha. Any good one missing from the list?

Suarez joined Barcelona F.C. for a reported 75 million pounds. Any culés among us? Or Reds? Love it? Hate it? Happy? Sad? Relieved? Sound off and let us non-Barca/Liverpool fans know how to feel about this!
Confession: as a (casual) Real Madrid supporter the first thing that came to mind was, "I can't WAIT for Suarez v Pepe in El Clasico!" Between nibble-happy Suarez and curb-stomping Pepe, the passion for diving shared by both, and the inevitable involvement of the Yellow Card King Sergio Ramos himself, it's going to be glorious, glorious fuckery! :D
ALSO: Bayern's Mario Mandzukic has signed a four-year deal with Atlético Madrid

Napoli went on the beat Lazio 3-0, but it was the 34-year-old German legend who earned the lion's share of respect on the day. And making the incident even more enjoyable is the fact that he admitted his handball goal in the stadium that used to be the home of Maradona, the unrepentant perpetrator of the Hand of God goal.

John Terry retires from England duty
Former England captain John Terry has announced his retirement from international football.
The only thing known now, will add more info when available.
*What a way to have my first post on ONTD_FB.
**Also, wtf is happening in Madrid?
Thoughts? Personal feelings toward him aside, can't shrug his contributions to England, IMO.

England defender John Terry retires from international football citing FA made his position 'untenable'
Former England captain John Terry has retired from international football, his management agency have announced.
Terry quit England less than 24 hours before the Football Association hearing into the Anton Ferdinand saga was expected to begin.
Chelsea captain Terry announced his immediate retirement from international football, accusing the FA of making his position "untenable".
The 31-year-old said in a statement: "I am today announcing my retirement from international football.
"I would like to thank the England managers who have selected me for my 78 caps.
"I have had great pleasure in sharing that honour with all the players that I've played with.
"I would like to thank them, the fans and my family for their support and encouragement during my international career.
"Representing and captaining my country is what I dreamed of as a boy and it has been a truly great honour.
"I have always given my all and it breaks my heart to make this decision.
"I want to wish Roy [Hodgson] and the team every success for the future.
"I am making this statement today in advance of the hearing of the FA disciplinary charge because I feel the FA, in pursuing charges against me where I have already been cleared in a court of law, have made my position with the national team untenable.
"I now look forward to playing for Chelsea FC, and challenging for domestic and European honours, and I want to thank the fans and the club for their continued support."

According to the club website, a "very happy" Javi Martinez (aka "this transfer-season's most curiously over-priced player") is in München this morning, having just completed a transfer deal to end in 2017. Their director is really happy about this because "from day one we've had a lack of communication [could be translated as cooperation] from his club."
No kidding! According to Athletic Bilbao's website the player's "trip to München is unauthorized, and we will be demanding an explanation from him." Looks like they're going to have to wait until he has a vacation, frankly.
I have screen caps of the boy in München, of course, grinning like an idiot and repeating the spiel about how he's "so proud to be at a club as storied as Bayern."

LOL

Double LOL
Those of you who speak German and are in the mood for a good hearty chuckle are encouraged to make your way to the site to read every sordid detail.
By the way: he better not have cost 40 million because he's worth less than half that. His attitude is priceless though - he'll fit right into his new dressing room, no problem at all. I defy even Arjen Robben to engineer a transfer this juicy.
As for FC Hollywood - thank you darlings. You've just made the decade worthwhile.
EDIT: The Suedeutsche Zeitung are convinced he went for 40 million. That makes him the most expensive signing in Bundesliga history.

If you missed it, here is Buffon's message about diversity:
"I am proud to lead my country in this important match of UEFA EURO 2012," said Buffon. "My team-mates and I stand against any kind of discrimination. We are one team regardless of our religious or ethnic background. That is why we support UEFA's Respect Diversity message and we call on everyone in football to join us."
Here is Lahm's:
Lahm added: "The past three weeks have shown how football can bring together people who share the same passion. Nationality, religion, gender or sexual orientation have nothing to do with it. My team-mates and I, as captain of the German national team, ask you to join us in rejecting all types of discrimination and in supporting UEFA's Respect Diversity message."
Here is Iker's:
"We owe our success to our team spirit and the diversity of our backgrounds," said Casillas. "We may be from different regions and different backgrounds but on the pitch we stand together - united as a team. That is why we are against all forms of discrimination and are proud to support UEFA's Respect Diversity message."
here is Ronaldo's:
"Our country brings together people from all kinds of different backgrounds all united thanks to UEFA EURO 2012," Ronaldo told the stadium. "Football can bring people together like no other sport no matter their religious, social or ethnic background. That is why we all stand together as one, both on and off the pitch and support UEFA's Respect Diversity message."

Rangers Football Club has entered administration - meaning the club will be docked 10 points, effectively ending its Scottish Premier League challenge.
It follows an unsuccessful legal bid by HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) at the Court of Session in Edinburgh to appoint its own administrator.
London-based firm Duff and Phelps was appointed by Rangers at 14:50.
It has now emerged that Rangers' game against Kilmarnock on Saturday may not go ahead unless police can be paid.

• Sir Alex Ferguson 'delighted' by decision

Manchester United have announced that the former England midfielderPaul Scholes has come out of retirement and will play until the end of the season. He will sit on the bench for this afternoon's FA Cup third-round match against Manchester City.
A statement on the club's official website said: "Paul Scholes has rejoined the playing staff at Manchester United for the remainder of the season with immediate effect, after approaching Sir Alex Ferguson to reverse his decision, made at the end of last season, to retire.
"He has gone straight on to the bench for this afternoon's FA Cup third-round tie against Manchester City."
Ferguson, United's manager, said: "It's fantastic that Paul has made this decision. It's always sad to see great players end their careers, but especially so when they do it early. But he has kept himself in great shape and I always felt that he had another season in him. It's terrific to have him back."
Scholes said: "I've been pretty clear since I stopped playing that I miss it. I'm delighted the manager feels I can still make a contribution to the team and I'm looking forward to playing my part in trying to bring more success to this great club."
Scholes retired at the end of last season, after helping United to win their 19th league title. He has made 676 appearances for United, scoring 150 goals, since making his debut against Port Vale in the League Cup in 1994. He has won 66 caps for England.
