Football confessions

No lie, as a glasses wear who can only wear tested 'clear' glasses, people who don't have to wear glasses but do, I'm like, "WHY??"

How sweetly domestic!

They have a warm, cordial friendship to be sure. Get well soon, Dele.

*I'm aware of the effect I have on women* gif

Really? That being said, it's nice seeing non white players getting some love in the football confessions blog here

You need to tell us what's on your mind, OP

OP: Done! Cheers, jeers, corrections and commentary pushback and the rest of it. You know the drill! Can someone please do the tags for me? I used a [redacted] mascara and all of a sudden my eyes are red and tearing up. I can't see out of my right eye. So!

LOL @ Argentina. And everyone said that Messi was absolutely vital, they would never win without him blah blah. He's vital, I agree, but that had to be one of the worst matches he's ever played.

I'm starting to get annoyed with the press calling every patient with a disease in a "fight". You can't fight diabetes. You have to deal with it.
Not that it isn't a struggle and that it doesn't influence your life. It's just not a fight that you have to win. You can't win and you can't fail.

Oops Messi

You're right. I had never thought about that before, but not long ago I read an article just about this. Many people are gainst the use of such language when referring to illnesses, and not only chronic ones (such as diabetes), but also the ones that you can possibly overcome. This kind of language suggests that active engagement ("fighting") is the only option, which is not really true. Moreover, it implies that those who didn't "win over" (beat cancer, for example) didn't fight the right way or hard enough. Of course this is all even more applicable to conditions such as diabetes, which, as you said it yourself, you have to deal with.

Their defence was non-existent. You know things are bad when Paulinho gets a goal.
