- Exclusive: How Sam Allardyce tried to make as much money as possible as England manager - before his first match Kong four times a year to address investors in a Far East firm that wanted to buy football players. Allardyce, 61, was unperturbed by the fact that the firm – in reality a fictitious company whose representatives were undercover Telegraph reporters – was proposing third party ownership of players, in contravention of Football Association and Fifa rules. - Sam Allardyce causes ‘embarrassment’ to FA in newspaper sting Allardyce is also caught on tape making several remarks that will go down badly at FA headquarters, including referring to his predecessor, Roy Hodgson, as “Woy” – mocking his voice in a way the FA described as “unacceptable” when the Sun did likewise in a front-page headline.
Among his other statements, Allardyce, who has not commented on the revelations, says the FA’s rebuilding of Wembley was “stupid” and describes Gary Neville, Hodgson’s assistant, as “the wrong influence”, saying the former Manchester United player should have been told to “sit down and shut up”. - Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp admits: 'The Kop gave me my greatest half hour in football... and David Silva is my favourite Premier League player'

Burnley 2- 0 Watford

Two midtable sides - do we really want a match report?

Right. Sean Dyche had history with Watford. All the way from youth coach to senior coach and got sacked when the new owners came in. He says he has no beef with the owners, and wished them luck

Dyche won!
OP: done!

Date: 2016-09-27 05:42 am (UTC)Following our mini discussion on Tumblr, Allerdyce has been a very naughty boy and a prize idiot. This stuff is bread and butter for newspapers and they will be having a field day. I think his position is untenable, i really do.
Yeah, it's been interesting
Date: 2016-09-27 05:51 am (UTC)He was right about the redevelopment of Wembley though - the FA could have plowed that money into coaching on all levels ala Iceland, and most people loved the old Wembley. A bit of government oversight should have been needed for that one, the English FA are batguano crazy.
But yes, you are right, the more the story develops, the less secure Big Sam's job looks to be. It's just ONE of the many stories that will be coming out in The Telegraph in the next couple of weeks. Like managers on the take, various bungs (money passed under the table).
To quote Bob Marley - if night should turn to day, many people will run away. Run Sam, run!

*kanye shrug*
Date: 2016-09-27 06:39 am (UTC)Idek, tbh. We'll see how it goes. I can see Allardyce staying because the FA have no other choice. But going forward, can the football world please not take personal recommendations from SAF? Moyes got the United job and Big Sam got the England job on his recs (tongue in cheek).
The one time the English FA went for a guy with 'personality' they get burned. Goddamn, Big Sam. Goddamn.

Date: 2016-09-27 08:32 am (UTC)I cannot wait to hear more names! Don't let me down The Telegraph.
Also, OT but my friend is getting a tattoo. We started from “If you really want to do something, you'll find a way. If you don't, you'll find an excuse.” (my idea). And 4 hours later and god only how many messages later now he wants this: "The one who doesn't want lookes for an excuse, the one who does lookes for an opportunity." And I'm too tired to tell him to correct it so I've signed-out. I suck, I know.

Date: 2016-09-27 01:47 pm (UTC)Stupid from Big Sam though. Paid £3 m a year so he doesn't have to flash his tits (metaphorically) at others, and yet, he does that.
FFS.
