SO here's a game we will play.. I hope you'll play with me?
The game is where you post five fun, serious or random facts about you... football related or not, it's up to you.
If you get really stuck here are some topics you might want to cover - phobias; pets; life changing events; pet names; pet peeves; favorite things.. blahblahblah. I'm sure you can think of better things though!
Just don't go posting your address or something... that's a no-no. It's only meant to be fun, so you don't need to write an essay, a line would do. Maybe we will learn some things about one another! (:
1. I'm an optimist... I think if I wasn't I would have just given up by now and done something drastic; my life has been.. complicated. I'm lucky to have family, friends and loved ones to encourage me, but having had about 7 operations including a double lung transplant and back surgery to straighten my spine (resulting in about 12 mostly giant scars) and spent about 4 years in hospital (not consecutively) - I think it would be hard if I couldn't look on the bright side!
2. I own one dog, Bouncer. You might know about him. He's my rock (no, really) and has kept me strong through the above. I love to show him (not seriously, as he is a springer cross and would not qualify) but he currently hold the title of Scruffts Crossbreed Dog of the year (2009), which he won last month (equivalent to Best in show at crufts I think?). We Might be going to crufts next year, not to show but to appear on 'friends for life'. If you've watched crufts before, you might have heard of it. Anyway.. woof.
3.I love Smart cars. They are just... <3 I know they're not exactly practical but I want one. I get excited everytime I see one (:
4. I'm going to try and learn dutch in the new year, after my exams are over! I do talk french though and took it for 5 years - I need to brush up I think.
5. I love to write/talk. Can you tell?! x] I ramble - I can write... and write... and well you get it. I can do the same with talking, if you get me started on a subject I am interested in... and when i get excited I type really fast and make a lot of mistakes x]

wasteto do so in the future, IF my education and career go on as planned.I'M TRYING TO BECOME A MED STUDENT!:( OMG THAT PELVIC LAP STUFF'S SO COOL! if you don't mind me asking, why and how did you get interested in that area? i took a cardiology class a few years ago and was just fascinated by the heart and its functions. (plus, it was MUCH easier to learn about than the lungs and the kidney. lol.)

Date: 2009-12-11 03:02 am (UTC)ooh the pelvic lap thing was a love-at-first-sight thing:D after first year here we have to do an obligatory 1 month nursing practical in any random hospital, and actually i was hitting it off with the surgeons so after 1st day they invited me up to the surgery room 'if i'm interested.....LOL FFS I WAS' and you know, i had to do the whole ritual fertilizing-dressing up thing, i felt like i'm in gray's anatomy....it was so kewl, really so amazing, and the surgeon asked me if i wanted to hold the camera for him on the FIRST FCKIN DAY I BEEN UP TO THE SURGERY ROOM and i got poisoned. it is so amazing. and ever since i'm into it. i so love doing it, and as i am very lazy otherwise, it is such a surprising thing that i like something so intensely for so long :D
and for cardio: it is SO COOL that you managed with it so well! actually most people find it really hard, so u must be a really clever gurrl so i think there will be no probs getting into medschool :) and heart surgeries are...something so different from like anything i have ever seen MAN YOU ARE HOLDING THE PUMPING HEART OF SOME1 WHO IS JUST SLEEPING NEXT TO YOU IT IS WOWOWOW BIG TIME and it is SO precision work, like every type of surgery needs loads of skills, but cardiac and neuro...man... i can't tell you how much i appreciate cardiac surgeons! it is a long way to go but seriously...worths it so much so good luck with it! btw where are you from? and when are you applying? :) i so hope that you will make it!!

Date: 2009-12-11 04:38 am (UTC)AHAHAHAHAHA. i was just lucky in that the majority of the people (including myself :P) bombed the renal and pulmonary systems so bad that my professor HAD to make the cardiovascular system easier for us to learn.;P yeup, definite hats off to surgeons, but as you mentioned, because their skills require much precision, that's why i'm keeping my distance from becoming a surgeon. bawahaha. i'm sticking to non-invasive cardiology.;]
i'm in california, which totally sucks for me because the med schools here are crazy competitive to get into, but i'm keeping my options open by applying to out-of-state schools as well. besides, i feel like it's time for me to venture out into the world and a lot of my friends are enjoying optometry and dental school over on the east coast.

omg! all this talk about medicine reminded me of what happened earlier this evening! so my mom fractured her foot several months ago and it's still not getting better.:( so we went in to go see the podiatrist today and i was surprised that he was completely opposite of what i had in mind. LOLLLLLLL. he's young, tall, fit, suave, HAHA, YOU GET THE POINT.XD

you really should try to apply somewhere farther to your homeplace! it must be an awesome experience, you would get independent, and living in a dorm must be SO FUN! you are applying this year? go to new york it must be so cool... or which city is your top choice? i so regret not moving away for uni....
i study in the semmelweiss uni of budapest right now (i am a remote eastern european lol), but i am planning to transfer to barcelona next year! yay so excited!! the only prob is that i have to learn catalan and it is kinda problematic bcoz i guess there are like 2 ppl in the whole country who speak it... whatever i gonna do it i don't care...living in spain is my bigbigbig dream RAWR
