Ok guys, before anyone starts cliffing themselves, United clawed their way back to the top last year starting out a hell of a lot lower than we EVER got this year. Last September, they were in 15th place. FIFTEENTH. Only about a year and a week ago they were sixth. We're only one place off that right now, and everyone is going to have their spells of bad luck eventually. It's on us right now but it'll turn around. Anything can still happen.
Oh shit, I was talking about the season before then when we were in relgation for a bit and Wigan were top for a few weeks XD
But yes we only had Pool that season. You've got to upsurge Chelsea, us, Arse and possibly AV, CITY, Tottenham who have no Euro commitment this season.
not worried about chelsea oddly enough, i have a very strong feeling that they're going to lose steam. arsenal are strong, they're in it as far as i can see but also not too worried about tottenham and city. city is going to implode, it's just a matter of time before all the strikers are dissatisfied with how much time they're getting and the morale will sink like a stone. tottenham i just don't think can keep it up forever either.
Spurs, AV and City will fade away eventually but the fact is they are much more stronger then they have ever been.
I think I'm mostly worried about Chelsea (as I assumed as much before the season started), even when they lose Drogba, Essien and Mikel in Jan, they don't even have tough fixtures so I doubt they'll drop many/any points. And unlike Pool and Arsenal, they have players who have won the title and as most of them are in their 30's, time is running out so they are working harder to win stuff. Maybe the CL will distract them.
Arsenal will eventuall fade away I think. No team has ever had the points total Pool have now and won the title, not even us ;)
