It's really depressing how this is being called the "first" Euro 2012 racism scandal...as though more are expected and will not be surprising.

I've got to admit, I don't remember the bidding process for this tournament so I don't know whether fears over racist abuse were ever raised as a concern when Poland and Ukraine were being considered as hosts. It seems a pretty huge oversight on UEFA's part if it wasn't, especially if it's as rife as this incident would suggest.
