i know i have such life-ruining taste in soccer clubs i should be ashamed of myself. sometimes that keeps me from getting a good night's sleep...
that was the first movie i saw in the cinema and i didn't know how to deal with all ~these emotions publicly.

it just makes our friendship that much more ~*forbidden*~

wow I think it was the first one I saw too! haha I bet you bawled

[identity profile] bloolikejazz.livejournal.com 2011-05-19 08:59 pm (UTC)(link)
gurl, we be like aaron ramsey&gareth bale - *united* in wales, but torn apart by two different shyte north london clubs.

see?! it's the gareth bale connection between us again. i saw it like a million times, and yea, you're right i bawled every single time. 17 years later i still do.

[identity profile] emyoueffsee.livejournal.com 2011-05-19 09:04 pm (UTC)(link)
true that. at least we have the sense to be associated with the powerhouses of england.

I cant even watch it without crying at that part and I like to pretend I'm tough

preach! i am praying our welsh princes we'll be able to see the light soon and reconsider their future.

omg me too - same thing with finding nemo! gets me every single time dammit

[identity profile] emyoueffsee.livejournal.com 2011-05-19 09:11 pm (UTC)(link)
finding nemo didnt endear itself to me as much. :( and I think gareth will be gone soon enough but at least spurs arent arsenal

i was touched by the father-son bond. but nothing comes close to the original disney classics. i still remember "tripping" in the woods so i'd fall in the same hole as alice. sad life.
he seems to damn dedicated that's what bothers me. but when he extended his contract spurs were still in running to play in cl.

[identity profile] emyoueffsee.livejournal.com 2011-05-19 09:21 pm (UTC)(link)
I think hes got one more year there then hes off.. but he better not go to real.

[identity profile] bloolikejazz.livejournal.com 2011-05-19 09:23 pm (UTC)(link)
I will seriously cut some bitches if he does that. I'd honestly rather see him at United. Not just because i loathe rm, but because it would do him much more favor to him as a player. It's gonna be hard for me to see him in red but anything over real madrid.

[identity profile] emyoueffsee.livejournal.com 2011-05-19 09:29 pm (UTC)(link)
he'll probably get shafted there eventually, and i dont think he has the die-hard mentality the likes of ronaldo has. he really needs to go somewhere that will appreciate him as a player and person and not just some object

[identity profile] bloolikejazz.livejournal.com 2011-05-19 09:33 pm (UTC)(link)
mte - i feel like rm just buys players for their names. don't get me wrong i think ronaldo's an extremely talented player but i doubt rm would be willing to cash out 80 mil for someone equally as good but less known. and i don't want for gareth just to be a part of some rich guy's collection. he's way too talented and young for that - at least cron was in his mid 20s when he left united.

[identity profile] emyoueffsee.livejournal.com 2011-05-19 09:35 pm (UTC)(link)
they wanted him because they always want our *~best~*. they cant create their own greats anymore apparently.

exactly, plus at least ronaldo's got this COME AT ME thing going so you know he'll be ok no matter what perez throws at him. gareth's gentle

[identity profile] bloolikejazz.livejournal.com 2011-05-19 09:44 pm (UTC)(link)
who's the last player to come from real madrid's training grounds besides casillas? which is too bad, they used to have such amazing players. to me raul was always a joy too watch even though he played for rm his entire life. and even he started his ways at atletico hehehe
yeah, i think he'd be forever damaged and crushed. he wouldn't get as much playing time and like you said, he's a delicate flower, he wouldn't take that well.

[identity profile] emyoueffsee.livejournal.com 2011-05-19 09:54 pm (UTC)(link)
yea their youth training was renowned way back in the day and they still produce good talent but they always overlook them in favour of glory signings. I think raul leaving signals the end of an era there, even though casillas is still there. he's still definitely the exception.

[identity profile] bloolikejazz.livejournal.com 2011-05-19 11:15 pm (UTC)(link)
it just has a sense of fake to me. i'm really not trying to promote the barca/rm rivalry but we grow our own players. i can't believe they let raul go, at that age he is still better than any striker they could sign.

[identity profile] emyoueffsee.livejournal.com 2011-05-19 11:19 pm (UTC)(link)
for me the issue is they arent even willing to really give their own players much of a shot at all because theyre banking on glory signings. we all make those kinds of signings but they do it by far more than anyone else with no intent on really bringing lads in through their own system. I kind of dislike sometimes how we dont really just go all out for some top players but its because we want to make big names not buy them. real got no time for that apparently, and really it doesnt work for them because they arent getting the trophies.

[identity profile] bloolikejazz.livejournal.com 2011-05-19 11:24 pm (UTC)(link)
that is so true. and the rm training academy produced some of the greatest. heck the best real madrid player right now, casillas, went through it, you'd think they'd give someone else a chance. and like you said it's not even working for them, in my opinion it's because buying players from all those big clubs with different styles makes the team a lot less coherent.
You should really bank the moneyzz you got for ronaldo. for a goalkeeper if you plan on competing next year, vds was amazing for you.

[identity profile] emyoueffsee.livejournal.com 2011-05-19 11:34 pm (UTC)(link)
yea its unfortunate.. i bet theyd have such a good homegrown team if they gave it time. the problem is theyre very impatient and just want the glory and $$$$$$. I miss the old real (lol as much as rival can)

I dont even know how much money we have at this point. i hate the glazers so much
